Kanchanaburi , which is slightly closer than Khao Yai is approximately 130 kilometers west of Bangkok. The two rivers from maenam Mae Klong resulting in some of Thailand's most impressive waterfalls and wildlife which thrive upon the rivers. The bridge over the river kwai built by World War II prisoners is situated here.
